Wisconsin & several other schools hosted an alumni charity cruise aboard the Provincetown II off the Commonwealth Pier (I'm embarassed to say that I cannot recall the charity). The large cruiseliner held at least 500 drunks. The cruise took us around Boston Harbor & all the way down to Cape Cod. I'm sure Cape Cod is gorgeous, but the cruise took place after sundown. What's the point?!

It's not exactly paradise, but it's as close as you'll find in New England. Manchester By The Sea is just a 45-minute ride on the commuter rail north of Boston. It's a huge beach completely surrounded by beautiful cliffs, making it impossible to sneak in without paying the $5 entrance fee.
